FAITH FRIENDS CAFE

Mission-Based

A Ministry for those living with dementia

Christ-Centered

Volunteer-Driven

”Alzheimer’s Disease is the Silver Tsunami of the 21st Century.” (National Institute of Health). “Silver Tsunami” is a reference to the “wave” of aging adults known as Baby Boomers (born between 1946-1964), and the increasing number of boomers facing dementia.

Our Vision Statement:

We envision a community where caregivers and those being cared for feel seen, supported, and sustained, finding regular opportunities for rest and rejuvenation. Through our ministry, individuals with memory loss will experience moments of joy, connection, and dignity, enriching their lives and reflecting God's unwavering love.

Faith Friends CAFE is based on a “social model of ministry crafted by Respite For All. It is a weekly gathering to serve as a social time for those dealing with dementia or forms of memory loss, and a time of respite for their caretakers. no medical staff is required because no medical care is provided. No medications are given during the four-hour Respite Day.
